0745 Planes in - bombs dropped.
0755 All clear.
0805 Moored to ATR-1. View
1250 Red alert - general quarters.
1310 All clear.
1645 Planes in - bombs dropped.
1646 Red alert - general quarters.
1720 All clear.
1740 Red alert - general quarters.
1750 Ordered to make smoke.
1752 Commenced to make smoke.
1755 Planes in - glider bombs observed - HMS Spartan hit aft.
1756 Secured smoke gear.
1800 Stern to HMS Spartan's starboard quarter - taking survivors over the stern and hoisting them from water.
1807 This ship loaded to capacity - 100 to 125 survivors aboard, many wounded.
1810 Underway to discharge survivors aboard HMS Delhi in accordance with orders from CTF 81.
18501 Moored alongside HMS Delhi.
1930 All survivors transferred.
1940 Underway for SS Alexander Martin.
2000 Picked up two survivors from whale boat alongside SS Alexander Martin.
2050 Discharged survivors aboard HMS Dido. View
2140 Moored astern LCI.
2200 Red alert - general quarters. Underway. Smoke generator inoperative due to damage sustained taking on survivors.
2205 Flares overhead.
2210 Bombs dropped.
2300 All clear.
2315 Moored aft LCI.
30 January 1944 0800 Underway.
1145 Red alert - general quarters.
1215 All clear.
1431 Report of damages made to CTF 81.
1635 Discharged smoke oil alongside SC 522.
1740 Underway to join convoy to Naples, Italy, in accordance with verbal instructions from CTF 81.
